Robert Sauceda – Your candidate for Fiscal Responsibility and Community Growth

County officials today operate in a complex, ever-changing environment. Effective governance depends on constantly monitoring this environment and learning new ways to meet these challenges. Our problem is not that we don’t collect enough in taxes. Our problem is that we don’t make the best use of those revenues. As member of the Kane County Board, I will work to make our government more efficient and effective. I believe we can exercise better fiscal responsibility. For us as taxpayers, this means:

• A freeze on the property tax levy
• No sales tax increases
• Fiscal responsibility across the board
• Find creative ways to reduce County expenses

We can do this, and we can do it now. Building a better, more streamlined government is just one of the ways we can serve our community of South Elgin, IL better and reduce the burden placed on taxpayers by the County.

Robert and Amanda

Provide greater efficiency and protect taxpayer dollars.

Rapid population growth means a greater demand for services. But it also means a larger tax base. In order to manage this growth, we must have a balanced budget, limit our use of debt and maintain responsible reserves.

Economic growth that
ensures good jobs.

Kane County is a great place to work and build a business. We must prioritize our transportation investment because we know that our local economy depends on roads, bridges, rail and public transit to relieve congestion and move people and goods from place-to-place. We must also look for ways to encourage small businesses, since that is where the majority of new jobs come from.*

Meet today’s challenges and the needs of the community.

Government is not the answer to all problems but it does have an important role in addressing the needs of our community and the challenges of our residents. We must work to ensure that Kane County Government reflects the citizens it serves and responds swiftly when the public interest is at stake.

Preserve and Protect our Farm Lands and Forest Preserves.

Kane County has a great system of Forest Preserves that we need to maintain and enjoy. We are growing and cannot neglect the needs of our future generations. As our population grows, we need to look for new opportunities to expand our natural resources for the benefit of our families.
* According to the SBA, small business accounts for 64% of all new job creation. http://www.sba.gov/advocacy/7495/8420
